Dr. Shiori Shakuto is an anthropologist specialising in gender and aging in Japan. Her research explores the social lives of older adults, particularly gender differences in post-retirement experiences. Her work has been published in leading journals and recognized with prestigious fellowships. She is currently a Lecturer at the University of Sydney, collaborating on research examining gendered plastic use in Asia.
