Hello. It’s Norman Swan here. If you’ve got a sprain and it’s a true sprain, in other words, you’ve gone over on your ankle. It’s really sore. It’s a bit swollen. Then, you can use an ice pack or some bandage to keep the swelling down, but there’s not really very much that you can do.
The important thing to know is when it might be a fracture.
And that’s when the pain is really excruciating. It’s not going away. You can’t put your foot down at all. Then you probably need to get an x-ray.
