1. Why am I taking Palonosetron Medsurge?
Palonosetron Medsurge contains the active ingredient palonosetron hydrochloride. Palonosetron is used in the prevention of nausea and vomiting induced by cytotoxic chemotherapy, prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) for up to 24 hours following surgery. Palonosetron belongs to a group of medicines known as serotonin (5-HT3) antagonists.
2. What should I know before I take Palonosetron Medsurge?
Warnings
Do not take Palonosetron Medsurge if:
- you are allergic to palonosetron hydrochloride or any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet.
- Always check the ingredients to make sure you can use this medicine.
Check with your doctor if you:
- are pregnant or think you might be, your doctor will not use this medicine unless it is clearly necessary as it is not known
