Indigo Disability Services

Independence, Ability and Freedom for All

Achieve Your Goals and Live More Independently with Indigo.

We Offer Professional Support, Guidance and Assistive Technology (Device and Equipment) Solutions

Gain greater control and independence in your home, work or school life with assistive technology (devices and equipment) and allied health services.

Assistive technology is a range of equipment or devices that help you to do things you may not be able to do easily or safely, due to restricted mobility, injury, or living with a disability.

Our Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists can help you to find assistive technology, and to learn or regain skills to empower you to participate in daily activities and achieve more independence.

Indigo NDIS Services

Indigo is a registered provider for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in Western Australia.

We can help you to make the most of your NDIS funding and achieve the goals in your NDIS plan.

Through tailored allied health and assistive technology solutions, our therapists can work with you to achieve your health, recreational, educational and professional goals.

Assistive Technology Devices and Equipment

There is a wide range of devices, aids and equipment that can help you to gain greater ability, mobility, safety and freedom. You can use this technology in your home, workplace, vehicle and getting about in your day-to-day life. We can help you to choose the right equipment for your needs and budget.

Assistive technology could include:

  • Wheelchairs and scooters
  • Telephones and computers
  • Showering, toileting and dressing aids
  • Kitchen equipment
  • Seating, beds and mattresses
  • Hoists and transfer aids
  • Vehicle modifications
  • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) options
  • Smart home technology

You can book in to see, feel, and try out a wide range of current devices and equipment at our Experience Centre in Nedlands. Our friendly, knowledgeable team can explain how assistive technology works. We can make it simple for you and answer all your questions, so that you can make your choices with confidence.

Allied Health Therapy Services

Indigo offers allied health services including occupational therapy and speech pathology.
Our therapists can support you to learn or regain skills and outline assistive technologies and communication devices that may assist you in communication, learning, recreation, independence and safety.

Modifications to Your Home

Enhancing your independence, confidence, freedom and safety in your home or workplace.

Our team offers you individual support and advice about changes and modifications to your home or workplace. This can help you gain more independence and confidence in your day-to-day life. You may like to have better access to your bathroom, garden or in the kitchen, or need assistance to adjust your furniture and surrounds to better suit your needs.

Modifications may include installing ramps and rails, relocating light switches, adding safety locks and non-slip flooring, altering cupboard and bench heights, installing lever taps and the widening
of doorways

Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)

AAC is a way of communicating that enhances or replaces speech, and our allied health professionals have up-to-date knowledge of current innovations in mainstream technology and dedicated communication devices.

Our Speech Pathologists can assist you in finding the best technology suited to your communication needs and help with information on how to use your device.

“After several years independently sourcing and self-funding a range of assistive technology, I was amazed at the difference this NDIS funding has made, together with the input of an Occupational Therapist. I am so glad I had the opportunity to work with Evana.” Neil, Indigo Customer
