Do Incentives Increase Vaccination Uptake?

by | Coronavirus - COVID-19, Coronavirus - Vaccinations, Immunity

Incentives
We are almost 90% vaccinated in NSW. So far the best incentives we’ve had is not to catch Covid-19 and get out of lockdown.

People have suggested lotteries. In fact, there’s a private lottery that’s just going to give an incentive for people to get their immunisation.

The reality is, we’re gonna achieve 90% immunisation. But we may need incentives in other areas. Such as suburbs, where there isn’t a high take-up of the immunisation and, possibly in Aboriginal communities as well.

So incentivising vaccination is important, but we’re doing pretty well at the moment. And so far the only incentive we’ve had is not to catch COVID and getting out of lockdown.
