Every year on 21 September Alzheimer associations across the globe unite with the aim of making a difference for people with dementia, their families and carers worldwide.
The theme for World Alzheimer's Day 2011 is 'Faces of dementia'. Alzheimer associations will ask if you recognise the face of dementia, while paying tribute to those who work to increase support and care for people with dementia and their carers.
More than a quarter of a million Australians live with dementia. Get the facts on dementia and Alzheimer's disease and find out how you might improve your brain health in old age.
