The Australian Breastfeeding Association celebrates World Breastfeeding Week in the first week of August each year. World Breastfeeding Week is celebrated in over 170 countries to protect, promote and support breastfeeding.

In 2011, the focus is on engaging youth, with the theme 'Talk to me!' The week will encourage sharing of knowledge and experience.
